Sensorial Immersion & Nature

From Earth to Essence: Experience an authentic perfume plant estate in Grasse.

1 - Know-How
Extraction Techniques

Journey to the source of perfume

Staying at Domaine de la Cascade Parfumée means stepping behind the scenes of the world’s perfume capital. We don’t just grow flowers; we transform them using two ancestral methods, dictated by the nature of the plant itself.

Our workshops include a guided tour of the gardens and a demonstration of distillation or enfleurage (depending on the season and blooming).

To ensure absolute tranquility and privacy for our guests, the Estate is a peaceful haven with access reserved exclusively for those staying with us.

However, we do open our doors to outside visitors for one special occasion: the weekly “Scented Paths” (Chemins Parfumés) tour. This visit is available by reservation only through the Pays de Grasse Tourist Office.

The Alchemy of Distillation

For robust plants: Rose, Lavender, Citrus, Geranium…

In spring and summer, join us around our traditional copper still. During these exclusive workshops, you will discover extraction by steam distillation.

The Experience: Follow the plant’s cycle from manual harvest to the tank, and watch the physical separation of essential oil and hydrolat (floral water) as it exits the condensor.

The Patience of Cold Enfleurage

For fragile or “mute” flowers: Jasmine Grandiflorum and Tuberose.

Some flowers are too delicate to withstand the heat of the still: it is said they “die” if heated. To capture their soul, we practice Cold Enfleurage, an iconic technique in Grasse’s history that has become very rare today.

The Craft: Come observe how we place fresh Jasmine or Tuberose flowers, one by one and by hand, onto grease-coated chassis. Day after day, the fat naturally becomes saturated with their scent to create the “absolute.” A true tribute to patience and precision.

2 - The Botanical
Our Collection Gardens

On our estate of nearly 2 hectares, we have created a true plant mosaic. Far from industrial monocultures, our garden is designed as a conservatory of scents and biodiversity.

The Citrus Grove

This is a treasure that lives all year round. Our collection includes over 60 trees representing 40 varieties of citrus from around the world: Lemon, orange, pomelo, mandarine, Yuzu, Combava, Buddha’s Hand..

Winter: The brilliance of ripe fruits.

Spring: The intoxication of Bitter Orange blossoms (Neroli).

All Year Round: The green scent of “Petitgrain” from crushing the foliage.

The Rose Garden

While the Rose Centifolia (May Rose) is the star of distillation, our passion has led us to plant a botanical collection of over 70 varieties of roses. Unlike traditional fields, our rose garden offers continuous blooming from April to October. Come test your “nose” and try to distinguish the peppery, fruity, or lemony notes of each species.

Nature sets the pace. Here is what you can discover depending on the date of your stay.

The Taste of the Real :
Our Provençal Vegetable

Here, the menu is written in the garden. In addition to perfume plants, we cultivate a traditional vegetable garden where heirloom tomatoes, zucchinis, eggplants, … and a collection of mints grow in the sun.

Locavore Table d'Hôtes

In the evening, find these products at our table. Picked at maturity that very morning, the vegetables reveal a forgotten flavor, simply enhanced by our olive oil and the estate’s aromatic herbs. Healthy, vibrant, and transport-free cuisine.

5 - Water & Well Being : A Source of Serenity

At the Domaine, water is omnipresent. Pure and alive, drawn directly from our natural spring, it irrigates our gardens via an efficient drip system and is at the heart of your relaxation.

Spring Water Pool

Dive into water of rare purity. Our infinity pool is entirely fed by our spring.

Absolute Softness: Treated with salt (no chemical chlorine), the water is gentle on the skin and eyes.

Breathtaking View: Swim facing the horizon in harmony with nature.

Eco-Responsible Hot Tub

Relax in our outdoor jacuzzi (7 seats), heated virtuously. We use a water-to-water heat pump that draws its calories directly from the spring water to maintain an ideal temperature, in all seasons, with minimal environmental impact.

Massage Area

To perfect the experience, entrust your relaxation to expert hands. By appointment, we welcome professional practitioners to our dedicated space for tailor-made massages.
